US President Donald Trump has ordered the release of files on aliens and UFOs, sparking intrigue among the scientific community. In a Truth Social post on Friday, Trump said that his decision is based on rising public interest and that the release would include every information ever collected by the US government over the last few decades.
“Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any and all information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important matters,” Trump posted.
Obama spilled the beans that aliens are real, so Trump said fuck it and is just going to declassify relevant information pertaining to extraterrestrial life and UFOs.
Trump is pretty much confirming that we are not alone, and our government knows something about it.

While there have been many instances when Earthlings, including US Navy pilots, came across these strange objects, no concrete proof of extraterrestrial life has ever been presented in public. It remains to be seen whether Trump’s statement has any substance or if it’s just another false promise. Prior to his election as the 47th US President, Trump said he would declassify the Epstein files and signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act in November 2025. He had also issued an executive order directing the release of files on assassinations of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and John F. Kennedy.
Besides, Trump’s announcement came just days after his predecessor Barack Obama, in a podcast with Brian Tyler Cohen said aliens are real. “They’re real. But I haven’t seen them. They’re not being kept at Area 51. There’s no underground facility — unless there’s this enormous conspiracy and they hid it from the President of the United States,” Obama said.

Trump was asked about Obama’s statement by Fox News to which he replied – “Well, I don’t know if they’re real or not. I can tell you he gave classified information. He’s not supposed to be doing that. He made a big mistake, he took it out of classified information.”
Obama’s statement corroborates those of many scientists who believe that aliens may be out there in the universe which has billions of galaxies, according to some estimates, and perhaps hundreds of billions of Earth-like planets.
Many experts, on the other hand, refrain from speculating until they see hard evidence. Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, during an interview with MS Now on Sunday, said Trump should just “bring out the alien” instead of releasing documents.
“What’s the point of documents if you actually have the alien? Just bring out the alien. So until that happens, it seems to be all about who you believe, conspiracy theories; it almost seems like a religion at some level,” Tyson said.
